94 Israeli towns on alert amid rocket fire

Sirens have sounded in northern Israeli cities, warning residents of incoming rockets, media reports say.

The cities of Shtula, Abirim, Netu’a, Karmiel, Safed were among 94 settlements in Galilee and the occupied Golan Heights put on alert Saturday, Israeli media said.

Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television said more than 20 rockets had been launched towards Galilee.

Israeli media said rockets hit near a sensitive military facility in the Meron region near Safed.

They also reported Hezbollah’s attempt to attack an intelligence base in Mount Meron with rockets and drones. At least 40 rockets were fired at the base, they added.
